How Do You Seek Compensation for a Drunk Driving Accident?

Drunk driving accidents can ruin lives and devastate families.

At Lee Law Offices, P.A., we take special care in representing victims of drunk drivers. Our experienced personal injury and wrongful death attorneys will seek the maximum compensation available for a family member or loved one who has been victimized by the senseless act of a driver who has climbed behind the wheel after having too much to drink.

A total of 12,998 people lost their lives to drunk drivers in 2007, accounting for about 1 of every 3 fatalities, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Carolinas

Fatal Drunk driving accidents have increased in the Carolinas in recent years, despite an overall decline in drunk-driving fatalities nationwide.

In 2007, drunk driving fatalities in North Carolina jumped 16 percent to 487 deaths while South Carolina cases increased 11 percent to 463 fatalities.

Nationwide, drunk-driving fatalities declined 3.7 percent in 2007. But that was not the case in the Carolinas, where both North and South Carolina joined just 18 states that saw an increase in the number of drunk-driving deaths.

At Lee Law Offices, P.A., we obtain the drunk driver’s driving record, investigate the case, and work with our client’s medical team to determine the extent of injuries, pain and suffering and potential future medical issues.

And we seek maximum compensation, including punitive damages, against the drunk driver and/or his or her insurance company on behalf of our client.

If you or someone you love has been injured or killed by a drunk driver, there are things you can do to help protect your rights. Lee Law Offices, P.A. offer free appointments to discuss your rights.
