Vehicle Accidents
The time you spend in an automobile is the most dangerous time of your day. We all take it for granted until it happens to us. And it happens all the time. On an otherwise fine day. On our way to the office or grocery store. One minute we are thinking about the day ahead and the next minute the airbag fills our world … or worse.

Accident Facts
- A total of 41,059 motorists died in traffic fatalities in 2007 and another 1.7 million were injured.
- The estimated economic cost of traffic accidents in the United States each year is more than $230 billion.
At Lee Law Offices we know. We have spent decades helping people recover from serious injury or loss after a car accident. We know about the hospital bills, the sometimes inadequate or nonexistent insurance, and the insurance company’s quick and often inadequate settlement offers. Many insurance adjusters try to get the victim to sign a release before the extent of their injuries are known.
We know about the financial burdens, the lost wages, the pain and suffering and the other strains a serious accident can put on a family.
Carolina Car Accidents: A Growing Problem
In South Carolina, fatalities increased from 969 in 2003 to 1,066 in 2007, ranking it 15th nationwide in number of traffic fatalities.
In North Carolina, fatalities increased from 1,553 in 2003 to 1,675 in 2007, ranking it 5th nationwide in the number of traffic fatalities. Only Alaska and the District of Columbia saw larger increases.
In fact, the continued increase in fatal traffic accidents in the Carolinas bucks a national trend that saw a four percent decrease in nationwide fatalities.
Nearly half of all fatalities in both states occurred in passenger cars.
Fighting for You
At Lee Law Offices, P.A., our sole focus is on helping people get the maximum compensation available for car accidents and other personal injury and wrongful death cases.
We do not work for big businesses or insurance companies and we do not represent clients in other types of cases, such as divorce or criminal law. We work for everyday people in North and South Carolina. We work to recover damages for lost wages, pain and suffering, permanent impairment, scars, and compensation for future health and financial consequences of the accident.
Determining your rights after an auto accident can be a complicated and intimidating process. A number of factors can leave the at-fault party and his or her insurance company open to increased liability.
Few car accidents are accidents in the strictest sense of the word. In fact, a recent landmark study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that 80 percent of crashes and two-thirds of near crashes involved some form of driver inattention.
Some frequent causes of accidents include aggressive driving, speeding, distracted driving, drowsy driving, impaired driving, and red-light and other violations at intersections.
Experienced Help When You Need It
A qualified personal injury lawyer can help you investigate the cause of you accident, determine the extent of your injuries, and get you the compensation you deserve.
We can also help you determine the insurance available, including coverage of the at-fault driver, coverage of other insured vehicles in his or her household, and even help recover you damages from your own uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage.
Insurance companies have attorneys to limit the company’s losses from an insured accident. At Lee Law Offices, P.A., we are dedicated to ensuring that Carolinians have the legal representation they need to protect their rights.
Your Case is Our Focus
Each case is unique and each client will receive the personalized attention he or she deserves.
We work to tailor our strategy to meet the needs of each case and to earn maximum recovery for each individual client. Our job is to use legal tactics and strategy and to structure each client’s case to maximize the verdict or recovery of each individual case on its own merits.
We deal with the medical reports from the paramedics, emergency room, surgeons, doctors, physical therapists and other medical experts. We keep abreast of the medical treatment of our clients and consult with doctors and other medical experts about the potential for permanent injuries.
We use retired law enforcement officers and other professionals to investigate circumstances of accidents and interview witnesses.
And we work with the client to determine and recover lost wages.
We use this information to make a demand to the insurance companies involved in the case to start settlement negotiations and progress with negotiations until we have received the insurance company’s highest offer.
We present the offer to the client and discuss whether that is sufficient to cover their case and our opinion about whether or not they should settle the case. It is always your decision on whether or not to settle or whether you want to proceed to court.
Because at Lee Law Offices, P.A., our only focus is on getting you the compensation you deserve.
